The weight staff was very courteous and kind and accommodating. The ambience was like stepping back into the 1800s. All original wood floors and copper ceiling tiles. The one thing that wigged me out was the women's bathroom. The sink was at my knees and my hair was touching the ceiling. Other than that everything else about this place was fantastic and the food was incredibly delicious and tasted like I was eating at somebody's home. All scratch made and very tasty.
Was looking for a local place to eat in Floresville. This place did not disappoint. The ambience is great and it feels like you walk into an old saloon. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and it is one of the best I have ever had. Very tender and hand breaded. This place is awesome and if I'm in the area will stop by again. Highly recommend.
I guess visit at a local church after half an hour drive from San Antonio TX Downtown to pick up drop off a local rideshare passenger in Floresville who was picking up his truck from the shop, has made me want to try out post-church-visit-prayer food for the first time at a local restaurant. Visited a local church to thank Heaven for blessings after a whole week of stress and trials. Trying out this easily-filling-up-with-eaters local place for Friday of Lent special. Amazing dinner! Best of its kind I've tasted thus far. Blackened fish and shrimp grill combo w/ corn and green bean sides. Tartar sauce. Lemon sprinkle. Bread toast. So far the best combo meal of its kind that I've ever tasted... Wait staff was super friendly and helpful apart from efficient. My order was served without much wait time. Ambience was perfect - old south western feel. They have a dining area outside with a band playing music. A great place to visit when in thus historic town that's famous as the peanut capital of Texas. Will definitely visit again!
First time eating here. We recently moved to the area and are slowly branching out to try new places. I was hesitant and didn't know what to expect but it was great! The atmosphere of the interior and building itself is like walking back in time 100 years but the service and food were really good. The staff was nice, every thing was clean. The food came out quickly and was fresh and surprisingly really tasty. Not just good for a small town good, but actually good. This is a definite recommendation when and if you ever find yourself in Floresville.
